getting a 2024 beta 480rr soon, very excited.
@@sirpine0101 That's awesome!👍 I hope you enjoy it! ✌️
Hey Dave! Hope you're well, missing your videos. All the best mate :)
@pauldouglas9813 I've been good 👍 Been riding to work and back every day, just haven't had anything to make a video about. Take care! ✌️
@@drummerdavemax glad to hear that Dave! Ride safe and looking forward to your next video. Always enjoyed seeing the canyons and the sunshine, especially when living in Scotland 😊🌦
Just picked up a bsr raven 250. Shopping for a decent road tire, looks like a well spent 200$ when i pull the trigger on it
I need to ride 1500 miles soon on my KLR looking into street tires I will check the prices on these
THANK YOU SO MUCH , All my problems with my clutch were solved!!
Beta rrs is full on race bike.... I have the 500 rrs fully modded and its a beast, not to hot tempered down low but rips up high. I love how smooth the gearing is and that cooling fan comes in handy on single track slow trails out here in the desert. Easy access is for quick service and maintenance while out on the open trail. Betas are made for long distance enduro HARE style racing, its not a motocross bike. RR=Race Ready
I bought a bleed kit and hydraulic fluid because I thought my clutch for my 2021 1290 SDR needed more hydraulic fluid. My lever had no tension whatsoever. This fixed the issue in minutes and it was easy. Thanks!
Take my advice they can jam and shatter at any time regardless of miles, once they shatter your engine is toast within a few seconds, So you are saying the plastic cog saves another part of your engine? The same plastic cog that screws the top end if it fails? Peugeot use those plastic oil pump gears and they fail causing total engine failure, Yamaha use them in some engines but with very few problems even at high mileage ,
Superb , thanks
Why is this even a topic. Riding a dirt bike on the road sucks and most only do it to get to a trail.
I agree. Thanks for watching! ✌️
Hallo mate, can I use this clip for my next video? you'll get full credit for it. thanks mate.
Hi my friend, is it okay if I introduce you in my next video? Of course, I will give you full credit. Thank you!
Hey man, would it be OK to use it in my new video? It would be credited in the description and comments sections.
Why aren’t your mirrors mounted like before?>
I'm always changing things on my bikes. I might not even have that 701sm anymore! Ha ha! Life is constantly changing, my friend. Have a great new year! ✌️
Im from Belgium and here as far as i know the law contradicts itself and they wont fine you for it. I just tried my first moto livestream yesterday and man i got some work to do. I did it live on twitch with a go pro hero 12 and sennheiser mic bluetooth connected. Also tried my cardo freecom 4+, so i need a better mic my voice wasnt clear enough too much wind. And i need to do something about losing network/connection because you also lose the stream very easy that way. I have some ideas but im up for tips xD
The best thing to help with audio quality and cutting down the wind noise is if your helmet comes with the cloth piece that snaps in under your chin! That will make all the difference you need ...it worked for me! Good luck! 👍 ✌️
Wat is je twitch?
what are the signs that the slave is going out? i have a 2022 husky 701 sm and when i pull the clutch in and put it in gear from neutral to first the bike violently lurches forward and ultimately dies
It sounds like it's going. When it goes out, it would be like cutting the cable of a regular mechanical (non-hydraulic) clutch. One guy I talked to, when his slave broke, he was sitting at a light in first gear with the clutch lever held in, and the bike suddenly lurched forward into traffic! ...luckily he grabbed the brakes and stalled it and didn't get hurt!
Legend bro. I bled the system and forgot about the master bleed screw. It feels ace now 💪 22 1290 SuperDuke R.
Hi, can I use this video for my next video? THANKS
MCRider sent me... subbed. Keep up the good work
*Hi , May I have your permission to use this clip in a compilation? Linked and credited . Thanks!*
Ok
Dave - Hoping you're well! Sweet ride! Do you still have the Beta? I am on a sabbatical at moment... Thinking of buying another one. Stay safe, Man!
Thanks! I sold the Beta to my neighbor a year ago, but you never know, I might get another in the future. Ride safe man! ✌️
I stay out of the middle because of screws nails and debris that cars straddle.
can you do it in the uk
Reviving an old conversation on your video... How tall are you and what is your inseam or jean size? I am 5 foot 9...9 and a half inches tall and wear 30" jeans and about to mount this on my 2017 DUKE 690. Will let you know the results.
Not sure what my inseam is, but we're the same height. Are you thinking you're too tall, therefore it won't help you? ...my opinion is, a shorter rider might get a little more benefit from it, but I could totally feel the difference & it made freeway riding much more comfortable! ✌️
@@drummerdavemax Not necessarily thinking I am so tall it won't help at all, just wondering about turbulence. I rode on the highway at speed on Sunday without it and it was lame. My concern is that I had a 2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and the small "tall" triumph windscreen was ok. Wasn't much but it did something. I ended up buying a larger windscreen and it was horrible. There was aweful turbulence and I only made it tolerable by adding a clip-on deflector. I have since sold the Scrambler 1200 but I should have reverted to the "tall" summer screen. I will try the Puig and let you know how it works. Have you since sold the 690 Duke? Looks like you recently bought an MT-09?
@morkys2410 That's interesting! ...I figured the taller the better ...guess not! Ha ha! I'm not sure if mine is causing turbulence because I haven't tried any other size of windscreen, but it's definitely more comfortable than without it! Yea, I've still got my Duke 690, and let me know what you think about the Puig windscreen. Take care!
@@drummerdavemax believe me you would know if there is turbulence. It's nice if a windscreen blocks the air from hitting you or a bike with no screen gives you clean air. But sometimes the air is directed right at your head and its turbulent...your head wobbles and bounces and whips around in the turbulence and it sucks.
@@morkys2410 I always feel like that on the freeway! Ha ha! ✌️
Hey there. All good to feature this clip? Full credits will be given to you, of course. Thank you! And, any additional info you want us to mention, related to clip?
All the bad reviews are from people who don’t know how to properly use the platform and be accurate etc 10/10 just get a 1600 output reg the new models can handle it mine does or you can mod it by adding more shims you can push 20+ fpe from it.
Do a 3.5 gallon and do a 1.25 gallon reserve in the rear up in the rear of the bike.
Awesome video Dave!! Excellent advice! Rode 600km on that weekend. Will be uploading in the next month. Take good care brother ❤️
Hey!!! Good to hear from you, sir!!! You're always one of the first people I think of when I think about the benefits of getting away from social media. I think that was an excellent choice you made for your life back whenever that was! I hope you're doing well & I look forward to seeing a video from you, whenever that may be! You take good care too, hro!!! ✌️
hello mate! Would I be able to use your clip in my compilation! I'll make sure to give credit...
Ok
Thanks a lot :)
I just picked up a 2023MT 10 for the exact opposite reason. I don’t commute on my motorcycles, it’s just a toy for me. The 2023 MT 10 is a complete riot of a motorcycle!!
That's awesome! ...it's pretty much an R1, just with an upright seating position! A guy I'd see up at the Rock Store got one right when they came out & he was stoked! I love the sound of that engine too! Ride safe & have fun! Peace!
Nice Dave! Looks very comfortable to ride. I thought it was funny you saying you're not going to use it for Canyon riding but aren't you riding through Canyons kind of on the way to work? I live in a flat City so yeah that looks like a nice ride to work.
Yea, I live near the hills on the edge of my town, so it's a nice ride to the freeway on-ramp! ...but then it's 30 minutes of freeway. Thanks for watching!
Another awesome bike, Dave! Congrats! If a person has to commute, they might as well do it on a fun bike. Not that the SuperD wasn't a fun bike -- but it was certainly massive overkill for commuting. The MT/FZ-09 is lighter, smaller and every bit as fun (unless you're drag-racing on the freeway! lol ) Interested in how you're carrying your "work stuff". Backpack? Strap-on pillion bag? Happy for you again, my man! 👍🤟😁
Thanks bro! Yea, it's fun & gets way better gas mileage than the SD did! Plus splitting lanes at slow speed with how heavy the SD is, was kinda sketchy! ...much better/lighter now! I use a backpack to carry my lunch & a can of fix-a-flat, just in case! Take care! ✌️
Hey Dave!
Hey! Hope you're doing good man! ✌️
May I use this also?
Sure
@@drummerdavemax Thanks
Hi, may I include this in a compilation & short. It'll be credited and linked back to your channel
Theres a delivery guy from spain who pretty much plays counter strike when he is not working, and whenever he is working as a delivery boy he is livestreaming while riding his motorcycle.
That's cool 👍
whats his name
Hey mate, is it okay if I use it in my compilation? Full credited ofc. Thank you!
Ok
HELLO BUDY, HOW ARE YOU? DO YOU AUTHORIZE ME TO USE A STRETCH OF YOUR VIDEO IN THE EDITION CURIOUS FACTS ON THE TRAFFIC? I WILL LEAVE ALL CREDITS IN THE TMJ DESCRIPTION ALWAYS!
Ok
There was a 660. However, the 690 is an entirely different engine.
I did on the 6th August, at 9:00 am. Very proud to have participated. Social Media is out of control, a lot of garbage, and worse there is an audience for this dopamine garbage. A lot of peace. 🙏✌️
Same to you! Thanks for riding! ✌️
Hey, where you been? Still got the 701? Is that the gravel road at the top of Sycamore street that comes out neat Walnut Street? When I lived in Simi Valley, I used to ride that on my mountain bike, over to Tapo Canyon trail and come out on Yosemite.
That's the road! Good to hear from you! I hope you've been good! Yea, still got the 701 but I've been thinking lately about selling it. You moved outta Cali? ...no wonder I haven't heard from you! Take care bro!!! ✌️
@@drummerdavemax No, just to Newbury park. Now we are both very close to work and it’s a lot cooler and nicer out here. We need to meet up at the RS sometime.
@CanyonMiniCooper For sure! I was just up there 2 weeks ago, for the first time in a while. I've been riding to work & back every week all year, but I don't ride as much on the weekends any more.
I agree with you 100% have a great day Dave and anybody else who might be reading this.
Same to you! ✌️
You are absolutely right about social media, I share the same views
Thanks! ✌️
Hey mate, would it be nice to feature your clip in my next episode? Credited of course (watermark and link to your channel).
Sure, go for it
Thanks a lot!@@drummerdavemax
My dad always said not to ride in the center but he rode in the 30's - 50's when most cars leaked.
Someone else said that in a comment too, & I think you're right! ...it was an old rule because of the old leaky cars! ✌️
HELLO BROTHER! ALL GOOD? WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN USE PART OF THIS VIDEO IN THE NEXT compilation? IF YOU ALLOW ME, I PUT YOUR CHANNEL CREDITS INTO THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION. I AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE.
Go for it
@@drummerdavemaxthank 🙏
Hello, Rider! Wonderful clip! Would it be OK if we used it in a youtube video we're making and maybe share it on our social media? We'll credit you in the video and all descriptions. Thank you! :)
Ok
Yep roads in the states seem to be pretty good , here in the U.K. there is also a lot of grit on the roads that build up in the centre of the lane especially at junctions. I use all of the road which ever part is favourable for what I intend doing , nubies ought to stick to the near side and ride defencibly until they can read the road for traction etc. tho paying attention to the tram lines left by trucks is key. Interesting wheel loss situation at the back end of your vid wonder if the driver kept control.
That's good advice for the nubies for sure! I started on a dirt bike, so out of habit I always ride like I don't have traction ...never really trusting my tires! Yea, the truck was the only thing that got hurt, luckily! When the wheel came off, I think the side of the truck slammed the center of divider, so his paint is going to be pretty scratched up! ✌️
Hey! Mind if I share this video for a youtube edit of mine? of course, you’ll be fully credited with watermark on screen. Cheers!
Go for it!
What’s going on mate? Would it be ok if I feature this video for a youtube edit that I’m working on? I’ll credit you with watermark on screen of course.
Sure, go for it!
